Seattle police arrest man with loaded crossbow

SEATTLE (AP) - A man carrying a loaded crossbow at a Seattle shopping center has been involuntarily committed for treatment of mental health issues.

The Seattle Times reports ( http://is.gd/MQ7i1X) Seattle police officers confronted the man just before 5 p.m. Saturday at Westwood Village. They were able to persuade the 47-year-old man to put down the weapon and surrender.

Policy say he was verbally hostile and had to be placed in restraints. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for an involuntary commitment.
