EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) - The federal Transportation Department is giving a $200,000 grant to promote Pangborn Memorial Airport and new travel to and from Wenatchee.
In announcing the grant Tuesday, Sen. Maria Cantwell said the airport is a key to the Wenatchee Valley's economic development.
Last year, nearly 99,000 passengers used the East Wenatchee airport and most were going to or coming from Sea-Tac Airport.
