PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. (AP) - A woman who fell to her death off a Port Townsend bluff lived nearby, and police say it appears to be an accident.
Police say 59-year-old Kristine Kay Deshong was alone when she fell over the edge and there's no indication of a crime.
Depuuty Police Chief Michael Evans told the Peninsula Daily News ( http://bit.ly/172lH3S) the body was found on a slide that occurred Oct. 13, but was not related to the slide onto the Strait of Juan de Fuca beach.
The body was spotted Saturday morning but could not be recovered until Saturday evening after the tide went out.
The cliff below Elmira Street Park is known as "End of the World" bluff.
