Moxee mother investigated in baby son's death

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - A Moxee woman who was arrested Monday in the death of her month-old son has been released from jail as officials continue to investigate a possible manslaughter charge.

Court documents indicate the 22-year-old was drinking Sunday night and then slept in the same bed with her baby. Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins says the boy died from a lack of oxygen to the brain.

KIMA reports ( http://bit.ly/HtAFJF) the Department of Corrections also is looking into the case because the mother wasn't supposed to drink. She was on home supervision for a drunken driving arrest last year.
