WA sex offenders congregate in city centers

SEATTLE (AP) - Because registered sex offenders have trouble finding housing, many are homeless and tend to congregate in urban areas close to offices where they have to regularly check in.

KIRO TV reports there are 325 sex offenders in downtown Seattle, many of them in the Pioneer Square area. There are 134 registered sex offenders in downtown Tacoma and 76 in downtown Everett.
