Tree falls on tent, man's body found inside

ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) - A Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman says a man has been found dead in a tent crushed by a tree near Arlington.

Spokeswoman Shari Ireton said a 25-year-old man had been living in the tent on property owned by his parents. A relative called 911 on Wednesday afternoon after seeing a tree had fallen on the tent. Officers found a man dead inside and assume it is the young man.

Ireton says the medical examiner will handle formal identification and will determine the cause and manner of death.
