Pickup barely misses sleeping family in Lacey

LACEY, Wash. (AP) - A pickup truck that crashed into the bedroom of a Lacey mobile home barely missed a sleeping family of four.

The Olympian reports the late Friday crash happened after the driver suffered a seizure.

Police Sgt. Mike Aalbers says the man's truck veered off the road and crashed into the mobile home. It landed in a bedroom where a grandmother _ a recent immigrant from Vietnam _ and three children younger than 5 were sleeping. They were knocked across the bedroom but not seriously injured.

A similar incident happened at a home just across the street nearly two years ago and killed a teenage resident.

The only injury reported was to the driver, who was treated and released from a local hospital. Police say no charges were filed because of the medical incident.
