Spokane cops find body near Long Lake

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane Police Department says a body has been found in a rural area near Long Lake.

Police say the body found Friday morning is related to a kidnapping investigation that occurred on Thursday. But police say it is not the person who was kidnapped.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the body as well as the cause of death.
