Seattle police shoot and kill bank robbery suspect

SEATTLE (AP) -- Police say officers have shot and killed a bank robbery suspect in Seattle, in the Madison Park neighborhood.

An armed man reportedly wearing makeup, women's clothing and a brunette wig demanded money from a teller about 9:15 a.m. Thursday at a branch in the neighborhood.

The getaway car reportedly crashed and flipped nearby and the suspect fled carrying a suitcase.

Officers searching for the man found him before noon. They believe he was armed with a knife when he was shot in a confrontation.
