Sheriff: 2 intruders wounded at Lynnwood home

LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) -- A Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman says two young men who apparently tried to force their way into a Lynnwood house have been shot and wounded by a young man inside the house.

Spokeswoman Shari Ireton said one man was hit in the back Thursday night and one in the arm. The two 20-year-olds fled but were picked up by Lynnwood police. Ireton says both were taken into custody and taken to a hospital.

She says it appears that a 54 year-old woman was home with her 21 year-old son when the intruders arrived.

Additional details were not immediately available.
