WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) -- About 30 hot air balloons will be floating around Walla Walla this weekend, weather permitting.

The city is holding the 40th anniversary of the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede.

Visitors can watch balloons launch from the Garrison Middle School field. A Saturday night "glow" is scheduled at dusk at Walla Walla Community College for a spectacular show of color.
