Man seriously burned in mobile home fire

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. (AP) -- A fire official says a man has been seriously burned in a mobile home fire near Medical Lake, west of Spokane.

Spokane County Fire District 3 Capt. Mike Moravec says flames from the double-wide trailer had already spread to an attached shop when firefighters arrived Friday night.

The Spokesman-Review reports (http://is.gd/eWcY5S ) the resident suffered extensive burns to his face and upper body. Moravec says the man was able to escape and reach a neighbor's home. He has only been able to tell fire officials that the blaze started in the kitchen.

The fire is under investigation.
