3 wounded in shootout in Renton parking lot

RENTON, Wash. (AP) -- Police detectives are trying to clarify what happened early Thursday at a Renton apartment parking lot where an apparent shootout between two cars left three people wounded.

Officers responded to the shooting before 3 a.m. at the Sunset View Apartments.

KIRO reports they found a man shot in the back and a woman shot in the neck. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He's in critical condition and she's serious.

KOMO reports another man who walked into Harborview with six bullet wounds also was at the shooting.

Police took at least one person into custody for questioning. Witnesses suggested a motive for the shootout may have been robbery.
