Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in hit-and-run

KENT, Wash. (AP) -- A 40-year-old Kent man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Saturday night after a hit-and-run accident.

Police say the man was struck while crossing the road at about 10 p.m. by a white sedan. He was treated at the scene by emergency personnel before being transported to an area hospital.

The News Tribune reports (http://is.gd/FzRa6k ) police are searching for the driver of the vehicle, who fled the scene.
