Police: Officer shoots man threatening family

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) -- Vancouver police say one of their officers shot and wounded a man who was threatening his family with a gun.

Police say the confrontation between the man and officers happened Saturday night. Officers say the man was refusing to follow commands. Soon after, an officer shot at the man, who suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.
