Motorcycle chase crash at Arlington was fatal

ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) -- The Washington State Patrol says a motorcycle rider who crashed Saturday while fleeing a trooper on Highway 531 at Arlington died Wednesday of his injuries.

The patrol says the trooper had terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. The motorcycle continued for another mile-and-a-half until it left the road and crashed in a ditch.

The 23-year-old Marysville rider, Garrett Olson, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.
