New wildfire grows as crews control another blazeAugust 3, 2014 @ 4:08 pm
TWISP, Wash. (AP) -- Fire officials are reporting eight to 10 structures have been burned by the wildfire near Ellensburg.
Spokeswoman Rose Shriner says those numbers are unconfirmed and she does not have details about whether those were homes or out buildings or both.
The Snag Canyon fire that started Saturday night during a lightning storm has burned about 5.6 square miles, according to the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
Meanwhile, fire officials say a blaze that started Friday between Twisp and Winthrop is mostly contained.
