Temp. lockdown at Spokane hospital on gun report

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- Some parts of a Spokane hospital were temporarily locked down Friday night due to a report of a man with a gun.

KXLY-TV reports (http://is.gd/7aXIoV) police searched Holy Family Hospital but didn't find anyone suspicious. The hospital was reopened about 45 minutes later.

Spokane police say the case likely began as a shoplifting incident at a nearby Rite Aid store.

They say the initial call indicated a weapon was involved but no weapon was seen. Police were investigating.
