RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) - The remaining cleanup work at the Hanford nuclear reservation is projected to cost $112 billion.

That's the cost of cleaning up radioactive and chemical wastes through 2065 plus 25 years of oversight.

The annual cost report from the Energy Department is required under the Tri-Party Agreement, which sets deadlines for removing the wastes left from years of nuclear weapon production.

The Tri-City Herald reports ( http://is.gd/ime1oG) annual spending of at least $2 billion a year is projected through 2045.
