The West Valley City Council has decided not to release police records that detail the investigation into Susan Powell's disappearance and the ensuing probe of her husband.

New song released before Susan Powell's birthday

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (AP) - Supporters of Susan Powell have released a new song in advance of what would have been her 31st birthday on Tuesday.

The West Valley City woman was reported missing Dec. 7, 2009. Authorities had been probing her husband, Josh, who maintained his innocence, then earlier this year killed himself and the couple's two young sons at a Washington state home.

Jennifer Graves, Josh Powell's estranged sister, stressed the importance of building healthy relationships through appropriate boundaries during a talk Saturday at the Ivy Girl Academy in Cottonwood Heights.

It ended with a performance of "Susan's Song, `A Dream Away,'" written by a friend after the boys were killed in Graham, Wash.

Profits from the song's sale will go toward memorials for Susan Powell in West Valley City and Puyallup, Wash.

I think the FBI should pay and interview him...
I think that would be money well spent but there has to be some kind of agreement in advance that he will actually answer key questions and not pick and choose or the deal is off and he will be on the hook for his own bills. It is completely obvious that he is guilty and I am betting he is just trying to make a deal in advance for reduced jail time because he knows they are getting close and he is going to get screwed...

    few q's
Did josh or his father have a prescription of xanax or ambien that could have been used to knock the kids (and Susan) out during the murder/disposal/burrial? Does josh own or have his credit cards been checked for the purchase of a my buddy heater, or a similar heater that could be safely used to keep his kids warm in the tent while they were knocked out? Have joshs and his fathers bank records been checked as part of the search warrant that was served? Was a sample of the wet carpet taken?

11 dogs hone in on one spot.
Then they find burnt wood with possible decomposition only draws one conclusion. After the bonfire the bones were transported somewhere else and thats what their looking for. He couldnt bury her so he found another way to do it. These dogs are trained to find human ramains not animal remains.

    josh powell and his father
Seem like sick enough mfers to roast marshmallows with the two boys over a campfire fueled by their mother. Can't we waterboard them already?

i don't understand why in a situation like this
We can't have a judge order a polygraph test. If josh passes we leave him be until their is enough evidence for a trial. If he fails he either leads police to Susans body, or gets interagated guantanamo style. Blah blah blah his constitutional rights....what about the rights of the cox family, and the two children who need to be removed from the creepo family before they develop permanent mental issues, if it isn't too late already.

Funny how none of you consider the area.
It is very apparent that now of you have been in this area when this supposedly happened. I lived in Utah for many years and I will say it again: they would be looking for Josh and his kids not Susan if he went in there. This area is not accessable that time of the year. If anything happened to Susan it was: 1. she ran off with someonelse or 2.Josh's father did something with her.

she ran off with someone, which is why josh had a tarp, shovel, and gas can in his trunk instead of camping gear. and before she ran off she had a small ouchy that bled to the point where josh was found drying the bloody carpet with fans, just hours after Susan "ran off."
