STORY REMOVED: BC-US--Paul-Immigration

WASHINGTON (AP) - On Feb. 17, The Associated Press withdrew its story about Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. Some versions of the original story continue to display online. This retransmission corrects the coding to ensure removal of the original story.

The original story said Paul sees some in his party favoring a 2016 presidential candidate with an immigration policy that would "round up people ... and send them back to Mexico." That quote was in a transcript of a talk show distributed by a transcript service after Paul's interview on the show. A subsequent Associated Press review of an audio recording of the show determined that the transcript had dropped the word "don't" from that quote, and Paul actually said, "They don't want somebody who wants to round people up, put them in camps and send them back to Mexico."

    Anybody wanna bet
This comment was taken completely out of context....having listened to Rand Paul several times over the last few years, I'm sure he said "Illegal" immigrants. But because he has an R next to his name, you can bet the liberal media would distort Sen. Paul's words....BTW Paul's not a Republican anyway, he's a Libertarian and there is a difference.

    Really
Round up over 11 million people and contain them for processing while watching our crops not get picked, hotels lose their workers, food services have a short fall of workers, and other services lose their help. Sounds like a good idea to some, but it would actually be a terrible plan. The Dream Act is the solution.
