Obama on "Battleship"

This is the line that has the left convinced that Obama won the debate with Romney on Foreign Policy.

Note that the two examples Obama uses immediately following his bayonets and horses line were aircraft carriers and submarines--navy vessels. He says they can do more than they used to, which is true, but it is also true of our enemies. So if Romney is correct and our overal naval forces are too depleted, you can actually encourage your enemies to catch up with you if you indicate they have a chance to do so. If you have overwhelming dominance, they won't bother.

All-in-all, I think the left is engaged in wishful thinking as to the debate last night. Obama got his zingers in, but Romney appeared poised, educated, plausible and most of all, optimistic.

Romney's comment was courting the military industrial complex, not building more ships.
Back when I was young enough, - my Spruance class destroyer cost the Navy $35,000,000. That would be 1977. In 2014 the US Navy will get its newest destroyer DDG-1000 and will pay 3.1 BILLION per ship. It is so stealth that its radar signature is comparable to a humming bird. It's hybrid electric drive system makes it ultra quiet and way faster than my Old Tin Can what reached speed close to 70 knots and with its wave-piercing hull technology it will leave a smaller wake than a motorboat... It is so full of Sonar and Radar and advanced weaponry systems that it would make your head spin. That is why Obama is the Commander and Chief, because he knows that one (1) DDG is the ultimate sub killer. Technology like that is why we are dominant. Better one of those than 30 Tin Cans.

Obama is not commander in chief
because he knows what a DDG-1000 is. He's Commander in Chief because he was elected President four years ago.

The debate last night had very little substance.

But, the debate last night proved why Romney would make a better Commander and Chief than Obama. - He blinded sided Obama. Watch Obama's face - he was completely dumbfounded and did not have a clue of what to expect from Romney.

On the matter of Libya, Romeny's plan once again was brilliant - What was the #1 Topic in the Media today, EVERYONE was questioning why Romney didn't attack Obama on the subject.

Think about it though - That subject got more attention today than it did in the last 5 weeks, Romney could not have done more than what's being asked by Americans today.

Romney showed me what a brilliant businessman and negotiator he is - he dumbfounded the majority of the media - and now watch the polls, you'll start seeing a dramatic increase for Romney.

So, ask yourself, did Obama REALLY win the debate last night or was he played for a fool?

Obama didn't know what to expect from Romney. With no principals or convictions he truly is the perfectly lubricated weather vane. Last night he came forth with he will have us out of Afghanistan by 2014. Two weeks ago a date for being out was the dumbest idea on the planet.

How about Syria being Iran's route to the sea? Does he look at maps?

You remind me of Chris Matthews, in fact we were discussing his little rant last night at dinner tonight - a person completely blinded by ideology, seeing his reality falling apart before his eyes.

Do you realize how much your posts sound like his words?

But, I'm willing to let the truth speak for itself - the polls to a degree, but the election will be the final "Fact Check".

So ,tell me Drool, what will you do if Obama loses desisively?.. Will you be screaming and shouting in the streets?.. Will you fill the blogs with posts of childishness?..

If Obama wins I'll have no choice but to admit that I misjudged the majority of Americans and life goes on... If Romney wins.. life goes on too.. heck, might even expand my business...

If Obama loses (and right now the odds are he'll win), I will accept it as the people of the United States will have selected the new Commander in Chief.

If you want to hear a freak out I was listening to Limbaugh today on the radio (yes, unlike those that live purely in their comfort zone echo chamber I pay attention to both sides of the political spectrum). I thought he was gonna blow a gasket.
