I saw this video featuring a councilwoman warning of the dangers of unloaded guns and laughed.

    SeattleD, most people under extreme circumstance can't even react quick enough and/or with professional enough to react appropriately in a life or death situation. Why do you think police kill people so often when in fact, there could have been a more non-lethal way to bring down what could be a threat. I don't want a mass of idiots with guns to protect me or my family, they are going to get me killed or kill me themselves by ACCIDENT. lol

    Time and time again there are accidental discharges from "unloaded" weapons. There is a famous video of a LEO shooting himself in the foot with an "unloaded" pistol in front of a classroom of children.

    About a week ago there were reports of a number of firearms injuries at various gun shows. I'm betting those all happened with "unloaded" weapons.

    especially in CA where the criminals would know it is unloaded. It's a good way to lose your gun.

    People treating guns like toys hurt people... people who are not educated in proper saftey with a gun are the danger... why does everyone keep acting like the gun does something without a person acting behind it? That person is the only reason that gun is a danger to anyone... You fix the person not the gun... the gun doesn't change... it is what it is... maybe if people would teach their children gun safety there wouldn't be so many tragedies.
