Not only can you not drive 55, you still can’t drive 75 miles per hour thanks to Governor Inslee, who vetoed a bill on Wednesday, at least the portions of it, that would have increased the speeds on some of our highways to 75 miles an hour.

He kept the part that would study the issue. He said, I know the face of speed and it can be deadly. I think it’s appropriate to do our research first before we make this kind of decision.

Well, it’s true that excessive speeds can be deadly, I’ll grant you that. We’re talking about the highways in Eastern Washington where you’re going from Spokane to Pullman or something; you’re in the middle of nowhere. It might be that a deer could run out in front of you &#8212 that could be a problem. But in a lot of those places, people are already going 75. The only difference is, now if it was legal, they wouldn’t get a ticket.

Listen to the full audio clip to hear about producer Nicole Thomson’s experience getting pulled over, and why Boze thinks men are discriminated against in these situations.
