Seattle police have released the 911 audio from Thursday’s deadly shooting at Seattle Pacific University in what officials say is an effort to illustrate the “remarkable calm and resourcefulness of students, faculty, and other witnesses.”
A couple warns dispatchers “we just witnessed a shooting on 3rd and Nickerson” and a student can be heard whispering as she hides away in her professor’s office, “in the lobby, he’s in the lobby.”
In the third call, a man calmly utters “I think I got hit with birdshot or something.”
Police removed identifying information from the recordings. Listen with caution as some of the audio can be graphic.
