News Summary: Strauss-Kahn, maid settle lawsuit
December 11, 2012 @ 9:36 am
(AP) - DUST SETTLING? A settlement has ended the last legal fallout from the sexual assault allegation that sank the political career of former International Monetary Fund leader Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
LIPS SEALED: The lawsuit settlement _ its details sealed _ came after prosecutors dropped related criminal charges last year, saying the hotel maid who accused Strauss-Kahn had credibility problems.
STILL CHARGED: For Strauss-Kahn it closes another of a number of sexual allegations that have confronted him since hotel housekeeper Nafissatou Diallo told police in May 2011 that he'd attacked her. He is still fighting charges of aggravated pimping in France.
