Seattle man arrested in connection with unsolved SoDo murder

Seattle police homicide detectives have arrested a 42-year-old man in the death of a woman found on the railroad tracks in the SoDo neighborhood in July 2013.

The woman’s body was found by a train engineers on July 2nd near 5th Avenue S. and S. Spokane Street.

Officers found the woman had sustained significant head injuries. Detectives obtained DNA from the 42-year-old man – who was previously in a relationship with the victim – during their investigation and sent it to the Washington State Crime Lab.

The lab determined it was a match and police arrested the 42-year-old man Wednesday near 10th Ave S. and S. Weller Street. He’s been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of homicide.
