King County Sheriffs arrested an 18-year-old SeaTac man on Friday in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old in White Center on Wednesday.

King County Sheriff’s detective Jason Stanley said deputies arrested the suspect at about 4 p.m. Friday, and that they believe he is the only person responsible for the death of Ruben Kastillo.

According to King County Sheriffs, Kastillo and three others were getting gas at a station on Roxbury Street when they had a verbal altercation with a group waiting at a nearby bus stop. When Kastillo and his group drove by the bus stop, and someone from the car allegedly fired shots.

After discovering Kastillo was shot, the group drove to North Highline Fire Station for treatment. Kastillo was later taken to Highline Medical Center where he died.

“We believe we have the only suspect in custody, but the Sheriff’s office is asking if there are any additional witnesses in the case they come forward and provide additional information,” Stanley said.
