Former Attorney General Rob McKenna’s wife Marilyn McKenna has a beef with Facebook over their objection to a photo of her in her “fat pants.”

“FB refused me this profile pic bcuz it “promotes idealized body image,” deems it harmful. I call [expletive],” McKenna posted on her twitter account.

The disputed image shows McKenna standing in one leg of a pair of 20W pants. The photo was meant to demonstrate how far she’s come in her weight loss journey. McKenna used to weigh 265 pounds. She’s lost 120 pounds since 2007.

A Facebook spokesperson offered KING 5 an explanation of why the photo was an issue.

“Facebook’s terms require advertisers of weight loss and other adult products to limit the audience of their ads to people aged 18 and over,” said the spokesperson.

McKenna had opted to promote the photo which meant Facebook considered it an ad. But she says she’s not selling anything.

“Hey, Facebook! What “products” am I promoting?! You dunderheads! My website, my blogs, my videos… It’s all free!! Im not selling anything!” she tweeted.

McKenna writes about her weight loss experience at her blog marilynmckenna.com. This Facebook controversy certainly hasn’t fazed her in her efforts.

“Idiotic FB controversies will come and go, but healthy lifestyle change will last forever!” she tweets.
