It’ll be over two weeks the 12th Man has to wait for the big Monday Night Saints game, and now there’s a chance it may happen in the snow.
KING-5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott told KIRO Radio arctic air is on its way to the Puget Sound area early next week.
At this point, it’s still too early to tell whether or not the system will bring along some lowland snow.
“(I) can’t really say how much or if it’ll just be a period of cold and dry,” said Marriott. “It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out on Monday.”
There have been two snow games at CenturyLink Field, one of which was a Monday Night game against the Green Bay Packers in 2006 (then called Qwest Field). The second game was in 2008 against the New York Jets. It was Mike Holmgren’s last home game as coach.
In the short term, forecasters expect mostly dry weather through Thanksgiving Day.
The National Weather Service says there’s a chance of rain Tuesday on the coast and northern part of Western Washington and again on Thanksgiving Day.
