The FBI and local law enforcement say the hunt is on around the Puget Sound area for a serial bank robber nicknamed the “Cyborg Bandit.”

The suspect is believed to have robbed at least four different banks in the past two months, most recently in Bothell on October 23.

The robberies generally took place in the late afternoon. The first one happened Tuesday Sept. 24 at a Key Bank branch in Bellevue. The others happened at a Banner Bank in Woodinville, a US Bank branch in Shoreline, and most recently on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at a Whidbey Island Bank branch in Bothell.

The bank robber is believed to be a white male, between 5’9″ and 6’0″ tall, of thin build. During the robberies, he’s covered his face with a distinctive cloth and worn the hood of his sweatshirt over his head. He has also worn clear, latex gloves.

Anyone with information that can help identify this individual is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $1000.00 is being offered.
