Left-handed pitcher Bobby LaFromboise has been recalled by the Mariners from Triple-A Tacoma and will be active for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay.

LaFromboise, who is joining the Mariners for the third time in 2013, struggled in four MLB appearances this season, yielding six runs (five earned) in 2 2/3 innings for a 16.88 ERA.

With Tacoma, he posted a 6-0 record, five saves and 3.39 ERA in 45 appearances, striking out 63 in 61 innings pitched.

Mariners option Franklin, Ramirez; Gillespie selected
