Seahawks-49ers CenturyLink Field clash among NFL’s most expensive tickets

It’s tough enough to score a ticket to a Seahawks game without digging deep. But Seattle’s highly anticipated matchup with the 49ers at CenturyLink Field is shaping up to be one of the upcoming season’s most expensive across the NFL.
Ticket reseller Vividseats.com reports the average price on the market for the Sept. 15 showdown is $418 a seat. That makes it the 11th most expensive NFL game in the regular season, Seattle PI.com reports.
Seats in the lower level are going for as much as $1,784 on the site. Even a nose-bleed seat in the upper reaches of CenturyLink Field will cost a pretty penny, with tickets going for $195.00 and up.
Prices are even higher on Stub Hub, where a second row seat is selling for over $2,300.
Chalk the high prices up to the huge demand generated by last year’s 11-5 team and the expectations for even greater heights this year. The Seahawks announced last month season tickets had sold out for the 2013 season, with a record 98 percent of season ticket holders renewing for the year.
But a few lucky fans still have a shot at getting tickets for face value. The Seahawks will put a limited number of single-game tickets on sale next Monday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster or by phone at 800-745-3000 (tickets will not be available at the CenturyLink Field box office.)
