The warm weather is here, which means you might need to find a place to cool off. If you don’t mind getting a little wet, we’ve found a few suggestions for you around Seattle, Tacoma, and on the Eastside.


Bellevue

Crossroads Park

A water spray area and par 3 golf course complement the tennis and basketball courts, skate park, horseshoe pits and restrooms at this popular Bellevue park.

Everett

Langus Riverfront Park

Adjacent to the Snohomish River, the park boasts premier river access with a boat launch, fishing pier, shell house and rowing dock.

Thornton A. Sullivan Park

The city’s premier park on Everett’s Silver Lake, it features a swimming area with lifeguards, beach-front picnic area, playgrounds and summer day camp at Camp Patterson.

Howarth Park

This 28-acre park features an off-leash dog area and safe access to a saltwater beach for both pets and people.

Forest Park

This 197-acre wooded park is Everett’s oldest and largest. It is home to a water and dry playgrounds, a swim center, picnic shelter, wooded trails and Animal Farm.

Federal Way

Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center (WKCAC)

The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center is a legacy venue of the 1990 Seattle Goodwill Games. In addition to the swimming and diving events, the WKCAC is open to the public for lap swims, family swims, swimming lessons and more.

Issaquah

Timber Lake Park

The park provides a 1/2 mile trail down to the Lake Sammamish shoreline and beach area. The park is also part of the Lakes-to-Locks Water Trail.

Spring Lake/Lake Desire Park

Backcountry hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking complement the water activities available at Spring Lake. There is a boat launch, restrooms, playground areas, soccer fields and tennis courts.

Henry Moses Aquatic Center

26-feet high water slides, two separate pools, a lazy river, shallow play area and plenty of shade fill this aquatic center. It also has a locker room and concessions area.

Lower Sammamish Commons Park

Located behind the library and City Hall, this park features a playground, water spray play area and lots of open space, but no restrooms.
