The Seahawks have a dramatically new look for the first time in a decade.

Nike, which took over for Reebok as the NFL's supplier of on-field apparel, unveiled their new line of uniforms during a ceremony in New York City on Tuesday morning.

While Nike made only subtle tweaks to the other 31 teams' uniforms, the Seahawks' got a drastic makeover. Among the changes are a darker shade of blue, light green trim, feather designs and alternate grey jerseys and pants.

"College navy" replaces the lighter shade of blue on the old uniforms, which the team wore from 2002 until last season. The other colors are "action green" and "wolf grey."

Feather-pattern designs inspired by Pacific Northwest coastal Indian artwork are found in the numbering, around the collar, on the helmet and on the pants. On both sides of the collar and pants are 12 feathers, a tribute to the 12th Man.

"The New Look of Intimidation features an aggressive combination of Seahawks tradition and Nike innovation," according to the team's website.

The alternate jerseys and pants can be worn either at home or on the road. With three different jerseys and pants, the Seahawks now have nine possible uniform combinations.

The team also tweaked its logo by changing the color behind the Seahawk head from light blue to all grey. The helmets, which are a darker blue to match the jerseys and pants, feature a first-of-its-kind combination of matte and gloss finish, with the feather design in the middle.

The new jerseys will go on sale April 26.

  Longtime supporter of Nike, its cool designs in shoes and apparel. Not a fan of the sweatshops or highway robbery prices but that said....C'MON NIKE. What the heck are you designing?!?!?! Handbags?!

  Why mess with a good thing? the neon green thing reminds me of the late 80's and that hyper color clothing and International News style stuff. We have the gayest uniforms out there

  These are terrible. Absolutely friggen terrible. I feel like someone punched me in the stomach these are so bad. Is there an organized petition against this atrocity? No way they can wear this trash in a game.

  I agree – we’re now the Oregon Ducks of the NFL – Freaking Nike! We get mocked enough in the sports world – Ex: Southern Alaskans, never won the big one, etc. – now we’re going to get laughed at even more. We waited all this time for this?!?! Go back to the original jerseys, these are horrible! If I’m a free agent you’d have to pay me a little more to get me to wear this junk! Funny, my second payment I due today for my tickets – I think I should get a discount…. Please tell me this is an late April fool’s joke, right – please…..?!?!?

  These uniforms are sweet! Serious upgrade. Strongler lines, more agressive and bold. They didn't over green everything, left a nice combination of grey and blue. I particularly like the white pants with the blue jersey. Very nicely done. In six months we'll never even remember the "old" uniforms. These guys will look sharp on the playoff catwalk.

  I love them! Finally the Seattle Seahawks don't look like the Seattle weather. These are really cool! The colors awesome! New team with a really cool look! It's about time!

  I like most of them except the navy tops and white bottoms. What happens when we play San Diego? We look too much like them. I didn't like that the blue the Seahawks had the last decade and thought it was too dark, so I was hoping for a lighter blue, but instead got Navy blue. I like the whites okay, and the gray pants are what I was hoping for.
