A King County naturopath is accused of rubber-stamping medical marijuana prescriptions at Hempfest.
Jeffrey Moore is charged with authorizing medical marijuana for 99 out of the 100 patients he saw at the festival two years ago, whether they needed it or not.
“It’s a risk to patients because a health care provider should do the things that are in the best interest of that patient based on their condition,” says Washington State Department of Health spokesperson Donn Moyer.
According to Moyer, Moore has 20 days to appeal.
Two other practitioners had their licenses suspended for doing the same thing at Hempfest that year.
