The state budget might get done sooner if State Rep. Mike Hope would only flash his six-pack and biceps to the rest of the lawmakers in Olympia.
The 37-year-old representative from Mill Creek recently posted a series of beefcake photos on the Internet Movie Database IMDb in the hopes of landing more acting work.
Hope played a cop in a low-budget movie filmed last year. Not a stretch, since Hope is a Seattle cop.
He said he isn’t worried about a backlash over the photos. In fact, he appreciated learning he has new fans at KIRO Radio.
“I’m OK with them taking a look at my photos,” Hope told the Dori Monson Show.
While critics say Hope should spend less time at the gym and more time on Mill Creek’s issues, Hope said he actually sits on the Health Care and Wellness Committee.
“I think America would be a lot better place if people spent 20-30 minutes on cardio everyday,” said Hope, who claims to do about 40 minutes (burning 1000 calories), per day. “We’d have a lot lower health care costs.”
Exercise and of course, Hope touts a strict diet.
It’s all natural, ‘no juicing.’
