5:04 UPDATE: Elliott Ave. to 15th Ave. W is a viable option home (northbound), but the Ballard Bridge area is congested from Dravus to Market. In the southbound direction, 15th Ave. W looks pretty normal from Northgate, down Holman, and across the bridge. It jams up at Broad.
4:54 UPDATE: Stuck on SB I-5? Try Lake City Way or Sand Point Way! It’s all green on the map. Plus, you get a view of Lake. Wash or dinner at Dick’s before the M’s game.

3:15 UPDATE: I-5 HOV lanes open to all from Mercer Street to Corson. Surface streets in Seattle are getting worse. If you don’t have an exit plan, get one!
3:03 UPDATE: First and Fourth Avenues are backing up with people trying to leave work. Both bridges (I-90 and 520) are clear, but the on-ramps are starting to get busy.
2:49 UPDATE: Side streets in South Lake Union and up through Ballard are starting to get busy. Mercer, no surprise, is in the red on the traffic map. SB I-5 through Northgate is nearly bumper to bumper.
2:32 UPDATE: KIRO Radio traffic reporter Kimi Kline says backups extend from 145th to downtown Seattle on I-5. KIRO 7 meteorologist Nick Allard says you might see the rain start back up for the afternoon commute.
