Garbage truck crashes into SR 99 off-ramp, triggers gas leak

A poorly-timed crash is blocked traffic in downtown Seattle.
Roads in the area of Blanchard Street and Western Avenue were closed after a garbage truck crashed into the SR 99 off-ramp. The truck was stuck under the ramp.

KIRO 7 reports the truck’s natural gas tank had a low-level leak. Seattle fire says a nearby building was evacuated as a safety precaution.
