It's your standard record contract ... a pair of shoes and a can of beans. At least that's what comedian Paul Scheer offers to the Billboard chart toppers Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in what's called the "standard major label record deal" - the same one Chubby Checker got.
But for the thrift shopping and inevitably deal seeking artists, they don't want to sign with just anybody, but will take you up on that free lunch.
