Among moviegoers who caught the midnight screening of the much-anticipated movie “Fifty Shades of Grey:” Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

He shared with his Twitter followers Friday morning that he had seen Mr. Grey and Anastasia and called it a “great movie.”

But fans of Wilson, who tweets out a Bible Verse of the Day with the hashtag #BVD, did not respond with positive reviews. Several of his followers even thought his Twitter account might have been hacked.

Wilson defended his choice to go see the movie, and followed it up with a nod to a film in a much different genre.
