Police have requested the help of the public to locate a mentally ill drug addict suspected of stabbing his mother in the face Tuesday morning.
Kevin D. Ross, 34, is homeless and known to frequent parks in the Central District. He is considered armed and dangerous.
According to the Seattle Police Department, Ross stabbed his mother multiple times in the face when he showed up at her apartment near Eighteenth Avenue and Madison Street around 4:30 a.m.
”When the victim opened the door, the suspect reportedly stepped forward and said ’This is what you get!’ and began stabbing his mother in the face with a knife,” police said in a news release. ”The victim screamed as she was attempting to fend off her son.”
The victim, a woman in her 60’s, sustained three deep stab wounds to her face, a cut to her finger, and a cut to her chest.
Ross is described as a black male, 6’ 2″ tall and 240 pounds. He was wearing all dark clothing at the time of the attack and may have been wearing a skull cap, according to police. He has distinctive tattoos, which include ”Mr. Ross” on his neck, an eyeball on his Adam’s Apple and a Grim Reaper on his forearm.
Anyone who sees Ross is asked to call 911.
