A Seattle man who lost a childhood friend in the deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon is hosting a fundraiser in her honor Thursday night.

“Because I have that personal connection, I want something to be done,” said Dave LeClair, a friend of bombing victim Krystle Campbell, in an appearance on KIRO Radio’s Ron & Don Show.

LeClair will be hosting a fundraiser for One Fund Boston, the fundraising campaign endorsed by the city’s mayor, at Spitfire in Seattle.

“I’d like people to just come on down and grab a drink. Spitfire will be donating a portion of their bar revenue to this and we’ll be collecting cash as well.”

They’ll be playing archive footage from Boston sports history, and he encourages people to wear their Boston gear if they have it.

The event will run from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Spitfire in downtown Seattle.
