You may see some similarities, but Harbaugh is such an ars to everyone and a whiney baby pissy pants, that I just cannot bring myself to see Pete as anything like him.

Today's 710 radiop shows seem to concentrte speculation ont how Coach Harbaugh's interview last night, praising both quarterbacks and not naming one as his next starter, may cause tensions in the 49ers locker room. I'm more interested in speculation as to how difficult it may become for a defense to prepare when Harbaugh not only has his multiple p[lay variations doubled by two possible "hot-hand" (his words) quarterbacks with different styles to run them. Do you think the Saints defensive planners should untie untie this Gordion knot or, like Alexander the Great simply cut it? How do you think their defensive schemes will play out if they try to solve this complex offense? How about if they try to impose an overshelming power defense plan? I realize its too soon to tell what the Seahawks will do when its their turn, but will their defense likely just attack the 49er offense, or play it next time?

Name a sucessful team that used two QB's. You're overdosing on the koolaid.

1st) Love your user name! Wish we had more Hockey mom's in the NW! 2nd) Love 'em or hate 'em, Jim (and John for that matter) are GREAT coaches. They get the most out their players and produce results without any regard for anyone outside their organization. Having played sports through college, those are qualities in a coach that can make you feel a part of something and give you the most life take aways. ...On that note GO HAWKS!!!

I know what you mean. Harbaugh frustrates me in how he behaves at times, but he definitely get results that cannot be denied. Hopefully, the results we see when we meet them in Seattle are not the results Harbaugh is hoping for. Heck, I will even happily sit back and listen again to him complain about how are players were too rough on them. Just so we take that game. GO HAWKS!!!

I get it; everything Brock is talking about. A big difference I see between Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh is that when they arrived into the NFL, Pete had to start from scratch, where as Jim had a team stacked with talent. So, in the that regards, I don't see it as a fair comparison, at least not yet. Time will tell which, if either stack up to the Belicheck Gold Standard.

Brock, for someone who used to chronically brag about his undergraduate degree in psychology (thankfully, you have stopped), you don't demonstrate a lot of insight sometimes. The best description of Jim Harbaugh I have heard from a sports writer/journalist is that he is "socially inept". Would you use that label for Pete Carroll? Pete is the exact opposite! Where Jim Harbaugh daily demonstrates he is almost completely devoid of social skills or cortex development in that arena, Pete shows by comparison he is highly developed socially and is someone we all universally like (even if you didn't like his coaching style). I would liken Jim Harbaugh to an Idiot Savant and Pete to a normally socially developed human with high intelligence.

I take it you have no clue what the word means because "idiot savant" contradicts itself. You can't be an idiot and a savant all at once.
