Seahawks to play Redskins in Wild Card round
The Seahawks will travel to the nation's capitol for a first-round playoff matchup with Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins.
Washington beat Dallas 28-18 Sunday night to win the NFC East and secure the conference's No. 4 seed. The Redskins will host the No. 5 seed Seahawks Sunday at 1:30 PST in the Wild Card game.
That matchup will feature two hot teams with stellar rookie quarterbacks. Washington has won seven straight games after a 3-6 start. Griffin III entered Sunday's game with the NFL's second-best QB rating. Like Wilson, he's a candidate for offensive rookie of the year.
Seattle, meanwhile, carries a five-game winning streak into the playoffs after beating St. Louis 20-13 Sunday. Wilson tossed his 26th touchdown pass of the season to tie Peyton Manning's rookie record.
