Cornerback Marcus Trufant is calling it a career after 10 NFL seasons and will retire as a member of the Seahawks, the team announced Wednesday.

Trufant has signed a contract with Seattle and will announce his retirement during a press conference at the team's headquarters on Thursday.

Trufant, 33, grew up in Tacoma, Wash., played collegiately at Washington State and was drafted by the Seahawks in the first round in 2003. He spent 10 seasons in Seattle, making a Pro Bowl in 2007. He did not play in 2013 after being released by Jacksonville before the regular season.
