The Seahawks have very few injuries and one of the healthiest rosters in weeks heading into Monday night's game.
“It’s been a good week of preparation and we can tell that our guys are feeling pretty good – the legs are there," head coach Pete Carroll said after the Saturday walk-through. "Hopefully we can take that into the game and make a difference.”
Carroll is hopeful that linebacker David Hawthorne is healthy enough to play come Monday night. Hawthorne was a full participant on Saturday after sitting out practice on both Thursday and Friday with a knee injury.
“Yeah, we think he’s going to be all right," Carroll said. "He looked OK today. It was a good effort to rest him to get him strong for the game.”
Hawthorne continues to suffer from a MCL sprain that has nagged him all season. While he doesn't believe post-season surgery will be required, he does acknowledge that he will need considerable rest to heal up completely.
“When I’m out there, I ain’t even thinking about it,” Hawthorne said. “I get adrenaline and I just go. It’s a situation that it ain’t going to get no better until I get complete rest. So I’m just grinding through it, and I’m willing to do that for the boys.
"And if I can go," he said of Monday night. "I’m gonna go.”
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was once again a full participant in practice, marking his first complete week of reps since the pectoral injury.
“It seems like a real gift, we just have not had it at all," Carroll said of Jackson's participation. "He feels great about it being able to put in a week of practice that he has been accustomed to, but he just has not had a chance to. Hopefully this will help his performance, but more importantly he feels good about it.
"He’s happy to be contributing on a day-to-day basis with his teammates. It’s really good.”
Defensive end Raheem Brock should also be active on game day. "He looks like he’s got a real chance," Carroll said. "He worked through the whole practice today. This is a real precautionary thing that we did during the week because he had a calf that we didn’t want to get beyond where it was and it looks like it worked out OK.”
Cornerback Byron Maxwell is "back" from his bout of pneumonia according to Carroll, but remains questionable for Monday. "But Maxwell has got a chance to play in this game finally," Carroll said. "He couldn’t do anything three or four days ago and then after getting some preliminary work he just jumped right back and felt good, so it’s good to have him back.
"We were real excited about him earlier in the year and it’ll be great to see him come back and contribute in [special] teams like he was earlier.”
Only cornerback Kennard Cox will be a game-time decision with a hamstring injury.
