Source: Seahawks lose Mike Williams to broken fibula
By Brady Henderson
Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams suffered a broken left fibula in the second half of Seattle's 38-14 win over the Bears on Sunday, a team source tells 710 ESPN Seattle's Liz Mathews.
According to Mathews, Williams also suffered a left ankle injury, the severity of which will be determined Monday."Really unfortnate that that happens," coach Pete Carroll said. "We're going to miss him."
The injury will likely end a disappointing season for Williams, who entered the game with just 16 catches. He caught two more passes for 31 yards on Sunday. He is expected to become the second Seahawks starting receiver to be placed on injured reserve this season, joining Sidney Rice.
Carroll said the team suffered no other significant injuries.
