Cards could give Seahawks competition for Manning

The Cardinals were already one of the teams assumed to be interested in acquiring Peyton Manning should the Colts cut their longtime quarterback.

That was before Arizona announced Wednesday the hiring of Frank Reich, who was at one point Manning's quarterbacks coach in Indianapolis. Reich, who spent 14 seasons in the NFL as a quarterback, will be the Cardinals wide receivers coach, the same position he held last season with the Colts.

In Wednesday's Wrap Up video, Brock and Salk say this development is another reason why the Cardinals could give the Seahawks competition should each team pursue Manning.

Which would officially make the Kevin Kolb signing one of the worst in history. I'm hardly afraid of a team that makes so many poor choices.

,,,would turn into a Manning deal overnight. In this case ditching Kolb before his bonus makes like they traded for PM instead. Peyton would be given Kolbs bonus and an incentive deal and the "rent-a-Kolb" year would soon be forgotten. What is even scarier is the extra WR to pair with Fitz could be an already timed up Wayne.

The Kolb dela is going to be one of the worst in history!? You mean after one season filled with concussions that it is going to be the worst signing in history? What about the fact that he came from a completely different offensive system and was told to learn a new offense in 4 weeks before the first game? A offense that is supposed to be fairly complex. No big deal right? Look at what happened with Matt Shaub in Houston. He came from a completely different offense in Atlanta. Had a rough first year and then started playing a lot better after that. I wouldn't rule Kolb out for having a bounce back year in 2012. I assume you are probably a Hasselsuck lover because you don't make any sense so lets looks at what he did. He sucked. I mean sucked terribly his first season here. It was brutal. But he got better in the second and third seasons to the point where he was a serviceable QB for about 4 years. That could happen with Kolb as well. Look since your new to the site I'll give you a piece of advice. If you have a question about a QB ask me. I will tell you whats up. And do your best to stay away from making comments that make no sense.
