You are an idiot. The only way the Hawks improve there QB situation without trading valuable draft choices and personnel this off season is to sign Manning. Flynn i don't see as a proven commodity and will still cost a ton of dough, to risky. Manning's contract will have to be structured subject to passing a physical, so where's the rick ? Just dough to get a 1st balllot hall of hamer and it does,nt even cost a compensatory pick. Its a no brainer, even if your brains the size of a walnut.

like Peyton makes your whole team better. Imagine as an OL trying to hold a block with a slim chance of your guy making the play anyway. Imagine not having to hold every block for 5 or 6 sec. Imagine running your route as a receiver knowing that if you get open you will likely get the ball in a catchable location........imagine a healthy Peyton Manning!

This is a win win for manning and the hawks, even if his arm and his running ability is not what it was, its still far better then we have right now. His knowledge and leadership will be worth the money alone. As for the draft picks shore up that O line to make it solid and some pass rushers

A class act all the way, but we are a million miles from his home grounds, we have an outdoor stadium, Carroll's probably not a cerebral enough coach for PM, and there are still too many questions with the rest of the team. Add to that that Miami's already a good fit for him, AND he already has a home there, and the chances of him coming here are slimmer than Snookie is fat. And he's already flithy rich so even if we out-bid everyone, it ain't gonna matter, folks. Give it up, already! Stranger things have happened, but no way is PM coming to Seattle.

NFC Rankings Sacks allowed: 14th Receiving yards: 12th Receiving leader: 34th (Baldwin 788 yards) Obviously some of those stats can be attributed to T. Jackson, but a 35-year-old QB with 4 neck surgeries will need protection. Aside from the stats, I don't really see a QB who has played his entire NFL career inside of a dome at home will want to finish his last playing days playing in inclement weather. Especially for a team that doesn't have a tradition of winning. Of course the Seahawks should pursue Manning, but I just don't believe Seattle is a good fit for him unless they make him an offer he can't refuse.

but a great fit. Seattle has good enough receivers for Peyton to make it work and enough cap space to bring in whoever he would like to work with (Reggie Wayne or Jeff Saturday perhaps). If I were Peyton, I wouldn't want to play in the AFC east because the road to the playoffs would go through Tommy, Billy, and the rest of the Pats - no thanks. Not to mention he has struggled against the Jets defense in the past, and they are out because there is no way he wants to jump into that dysfunction. NFC east is out because he doesn't want to see Eli twice a year - sorry Redskins. I wouldn't be that excited with the Cardinals because of the lack of cap room and flexibility, although playing with Fitzgerald would make the best QB/Receiver combo in the league - they would have to release their starter at L tackle to make it happen = not that appealing to a QB coming off an injury. That leaves me with Kansas City, Denver, and Seattle as the most obvious options. Kansas City could be appealing to him - Bowe is real nice and they are in a division they could easily win. Denver with Manning wins that division easily as well. I could also see a sleeper like Baltimore or Houston being good fits - Houston is loaded and he has a lot of familiarity with the division. It's going to come down to who he thinks gives him the best chance to win in the short term and I think with Manning, the Seahawks are the prohibitive favorite in the division - 49ers are going to be really solid again, but if not for some sloppy punt coverage and Forsett not knowing to get out of bounds late in the game at home, we could have beaten them. Seahawks are good enough to add an elite QB and compete for the NFC Championship in my opinion.

The more I digest the idea that he might be ready to play again and his injuries are healed enough to play the more I get sold on the idea of him coming here. Bring Wayne and Patton and lets go to the promise land. What the heck, Paul may have a say in this, he's been waiting awhile and have tried several situations to get the trophy to Seattle. This just might be the ticket.
